Ingredients:
3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 Tblsp peppermint extract
4 cups powdered sugar
3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 Tblsp. shortening

1.  In a large mixing bowl combine condensed milk and peppermint extract.  Beat in powdered sugar.
2.  Form this mixture into 1 inch balls and place on greased waxed paper.  Flatten with the bottom of a glass or the palm of your hand to form patties and let dry on counter for 2 hours, flipping once half way through.
3. Melt chocolate chips and shortening in microwave at half power for 3-4 minutes.  Stir at least once during cook time and make sure that the chocolate does not overheat.  Mix well once melted through.
4.  Dip mint patties in chocolate mixture, covering completely, and cool on waxed paper until chocolate sets up.
