Gluten free recipe for:

Mint Julep (Alcohol Free)

This is an alcohol free mint julep for all you non-drinkers…enjoy this refreshing beverage!

Ingredients: 1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
8 cups crushed ice
2 cups prepared lemonade

1. Combine water, sugar, and 1 Tbsp chopped mint leaves in a small saucepan.  Stir until brought to a boil.  Cook until all sugar is dissolved, then remove from the heat and allow to cool.  Let steep for about 1 hour, then strain out mint leaves.
2.  Fill cups with crushed ice, then pour 1/2 cup lemonade into each glass and top with 1/8-1/4 cup of of the sugar syrup mixture.  May want to garnish with extra sprigs of mint leaf.  Enjoy!
