1 12-14 lb. turkey
2 cups water
3/4 cup olive oil
2 Tbsp garlic powder
2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp ground sage
1 tsp salt
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Rinse the inside and outside of the turkey; remove giblets, gravy bag, etc..
3. Place turkey in greased roasting pan.
4. Pour water into bottom of pan.
5. Combine olive oil and spices in a small bowl.
6. Rub over entire turkey, making sure that turkey is completely covered.
7. Cover roaster pan and place in oven until temperature reaches 180 degrees.
8. Remove and let rest for 15 minutes before carving.
