Gluten free recipe for:
1 6-8 lb. turkey breast
6 slices of bacon
2 medium sweet Vadalia onions
1/2 cup water
salt and pepper to taste
1. Spray slow cooker and place rinsed turkey breast in cooker.
2. Quarter the onions and place one of the quartered onions in turkey and the others around the outside of turkey.
3. Place 3 pieces of bacon in turkey and spread the other three over the top of the turkey.
4. Pour water around edges of pan.
5. Salt and pepper outside of turkey to taste.
6. Cook turkey on low heat for 7-8 hours or medium heat for 4-5 hours. Make sure turkey is fully cooked, with the temperature reaching 180 degrees.
7. Remove onion and bacon.
8. Carve turkey (it will likely be falling off of bones) and serve.
