28 oz canned tomato puree
2 cubes GF beef bouillon, crumbled
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp pepper
1 bay leaf
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup cornstarch
1 quart milk
1. Put tomato puree bouillon, sugar, salt, basil, pepper, and bay leaf in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Bring to a boil and the reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
3. While mixture is simmering, in a small saucepan melt butter.
4. Whisk in cornstarch all at once and cook 1 minute
5. Slowly poor in milk whisking all the time.
6. Whisk until thickened.
7. Stir thoroughly into tomato mixture while still heating.
8. Turn off heat source and serve!
